steve,

A word of caution - as of October DrFirst seems to be using passwords -

"The electronic prescription management system is Internet accessible and utilizes a secured fax, where the physician sends the prescription to DrFirst electronically and DrFirst faxes the prescription to the pharmacy. There is no electronically reproduced, "hand-written" signature, but rather a digital signature attached to each prescription.

The signature is based on the content of the fax and contains 25 alphanumeric characters. To maintain security, the physician must enter a user name and PASSWORD to open the system and a different PASSWORD to send the prescription. The two passwords are checked in the DrFirst database. If the passwords match, the prescription is sent."

Notice the doctor needs TWO passwords. YIKES!! That could mean double trouble! Identix to the rescue!

Rick

ps - I'm reading more about DrFirst. I'll let you know if I find anything else interesting.
