Lakers,

<< like you still don't know what backward compatibility means, I wonder how many people really know it. >>

<G> I have had this conversation with my favorite Verizon sales rep. several times. He is not a tech but an experienced guy and the "designated data" guy at the local outlet. Former Sprint PCS, and even earlier Sprint Spectrum he was involved with Sprint's original GSM launch in November 1995. He has a pretty good handle on whats happening in Verizon, but can't always talk in detail about it

The sales staff really can't sell ahead of themselves. This makes it interesting relative to seeing how they handle 1x handsets seeded in advance.

My guy, is still apologetic about selling me a dual-mode QCP-860 1 month before the launch of the new Verizon rate plans which necessitated tri-modes for national coverage. At the time the tri-modes weren't yet in.

When I buy a KYO 6035 it will be interesting to see what he has to say on this subject.

<< how effective the CDMA camp doing their propaganda >>

It could be improved.
