The Ericsson R380 EPOC based phone sells for $600 retail, available as an upgrade only as of now, and no telco subsidy. Not exactly a good price point to sell millions of the devices to consumers, so for the well-heeled or business-subsidized only it would seem.

Kyocera's CDMA based Palm OS phone is pretty pricey as well, around $500 if I recall correctly. If they want to sell tons of these things to the mass market, they're going to have to find a way to splice the cell phone functions cheaply onto a M-100 style PDA, otherwise they will remain a "capitalist tool". But maybe that's the idea?
