Nemer,

You have to plug the phone line into the phone jack on the back of the modem in order for it to work properly.

"any ideas ????? HELP lol"

some settings to look at:

under internet options \ connection tab ....

select 'never dial a connection'

press 'lan settings' button, make sure no choices on lan dialog are selected

in 'dial-up settings', highlight one isp connection name, press 'settings' button, make sure 'automatically detect settings' is selected. do the same with the other isp connection.

also, just for grins, make sure area code is selected in the isp phone number, and that there is no dash in the phone number (i don't know if this is critical, but i think i have had probs before when leaving a dash in the 7 digit number).

i doubt that any of these changes would result in a freeze or hang, but i am offering them up just the same.

good luck. let us know

:)
