Under no obligation....

How many examples would you like of CEO's that painted a very rosey picture, only to disappoint withing a few weeks with less then stellar earnings.....all depends on what and how it is said.....

Ntap buncing back slightly....may hold in the upper $30's and possibly break and hold above $40.....again....it all depends on tomorrow's numbers and whether the street thinks they are worth current valuation.

I'm like Jill ( although she bought and I didn;t <ggg>)...I want some...but could be risky in here. I am going to look at some 02 or 03 leaps if ntap hits low $30's.....may pick a few up, then watch...pick up a few more if she hits $20's....figure 03 should be long enough to get out of this funk....but still too scared to buy stock at this level.......those calls may be better with more limited downside risk and possible greater upside return....bwthdik

You've seen what has been posted here. You've also read news. I'm sure you know what kind of company you're looking at. You've done your DD? If so....at these prices....why not load the boat?

But margin?....no..no...no... Besides the volatility of this market. This stock is very volatile. You could easily get a margin call, when the next day it's up 40%. Forget the margin...

cfoe, it is clear (to me) that NTAP will not miss its numbers given the lack of any preannouncement. One analyst cries foul, and the stock tanks. No one seems to have noticed that Merrill called BS on the analyst that warned. The stock is now priced to miss, and what happens when they do not???

I suspect that management is going to be tickled with the short squeeze, and egg on the face of the wolf-crying analyst come tomorrow afternoon.

Cfoe D Warmenhoven and several other execs at NTAP started their careers at CISCO. If you look at their track record you will see that they alwys under promise and over deliver. This time is no different. Warmenhoven has had ample opportunity to warn of a slowdown. Since he didn't as recently as the ML technology conference(in fact he took the opportunity to be optimistic) you can take it to the bank that all is well going into tomorrow evening's conference call.
