Inferno verde del norte: Oregon

I once ordered a cd from Amazon, only to be informed a MONTH later they did not have it, would not be getting it. I have friends who use Amazon regularly. Here's one story: She had gotten some Amazon discount e-coupons which she used for Christmas purchases - most of which she returned. She was credited for full price, actually making money. When she called to rectify the overpay, things got so confused, she was afraid she'd owe Amazon the National debt. She dropped the matter. I think I read they are correcting flaws in their bookkeeping.

>>Amazon could fail, but it has undeniably changed the way we buy stuff in the USA.<<
yes, customers want to buy $10 worth of product for $9 now.

>>It's a great company<<

i don't use "great" to describe a mail order company with a web page with a fundamentally flawed business model.

piss poor comes to mind, though...

Skeeter,

I agree with you entirely. You did leave out the fact that management was the worst almost ever in the retailing business. The most bizarre part is I believe thinks he did a good job. When amazon finally folds, about $3 billion in real money will have been wasted.

Geez that is so sad.
