Petz, bandwidth isn't a concern for Pentium 4. If that's all you're looking at, dual-Foster workstations will blow away dual-Palomino on 760MP, because the two Palomino processors have to compete over a single DDR channel.

In my opinion, one of the biggest things affecting Pentium 4 performance is latency, both memory latency and latency due to pipeline stalls. That's one reason why Athlon is doing so well vs. Pentium 4 in desktop benchmarks. But with Foster running on workstation and server apps, bandwidth takes precedence over latency. Then with optimized code and other features, Foster will really take off.
