Impatient guy that I am, I keep fairly close tabs on them. WAP data is still confined to regions rather than nation wide at the moment. Verizon is sinking a lot of dough in the network. Also putting big bucks in extra spectrum. Pulling the three networks together has been very challenging. When they are all done it will be a state of the art network, and they are very spectrum rich. I would very much like to see Sprint PCS implement 2-way messaging and interoperate with Verizon ( and AWS) along the lines of the GSM nets. The major boom in messaging in GSMland was driven to a great degree by this capability. - Eric -
