From EDS:

....Signings in the fourth quarter increased 141 percent in Europe, 295 percent in Asia Pacific and 33 percent in the U.S.....

From Extreme Networks:

....At a technology investors conference held by Banc of America, Extreme CFO Vito Palermo said the company's strong sales outside of the United States and to big businesses -- rather than telecommunications service providers, who have in recent months reportedly cut their spending dramatically -- would insulate the Santa Clara, Calif., company....

From Cisco:

....So far, Cisco executives said, the slowdown appears confined to the U.S. Orders from outside the U.S. increased to 51% in the second quarter, from 48% in the fiscal first quarter.

"Momentum in international markets has continued unabated," said Kevin Kennedy, Cisco's senior vice president for telecommunications carriers....


From EMC:

....The superior fourth-quarter international results were highlighted by a 134% year-to-year increase in Asia Pacific storage revenue and a 54% year-to-year increase in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) storage revenue.

The % of institutional ownership should aid the "bounce" for we longs. However, I find it hard to take much solace in what charts tell me during the haircut. I wish that I had used the ignore button when my broker talked me out of taking my EMC profits off the table two days ago. And so it goes. The reason I stick with him is b/c his market calls are worse than mine. It makes me feel good. <g>
