Intel always provides emulators ahead of silicon.

I know that there is an IA64 emulator for IA32 but I have never heard of an IA32 emulator for IA64. I don't think it makes sense. The IA32 emulator NT had is from Digital (FX32). I don't see who would write such an emulator for Merced. Unless Intel knew that they had a non-functional IA32 unit in Merced that is.
