"Bush is taking office during a boom, and is going to screw it up.

See the difference?"

Of course he sees the difference. FDR was a Democrat and Bush is a Republican. What other difference is important?

Dear Scumbria:

Clinton promised a lot during the campaign.

Clinton achieved virtually nothing he promised.

Clinton did not keep his word.

FDR set up a ponzi scheme to pay seniors using money borrowed from future generations.

Democratic Houses for decades ran up a huge debt.

Republican Houses have started slicing into it.

Nixon had the only surplus with a Democratic House.

They stopped that from happening again.

Republicans have accomplished much of what they promised.

See the difference.

Republican reduce deficits, do what they set out to do, and keep their words.

Democrats run up huge debts, promise a lot, do almost nothing but spend, and forget their own words.

You call the thing you do not wish to see irrelevant.

Too bad, they are.
