Tamiflu? <g> <<

I went to Kaiser today to get vaccinated. The person administering the shots smiled pleasantly, but seemed impatient that I had worn a long-sleeved shirt. I removed it, but she alcohol swabbed my arm and stabbed me while I was still moving. I looked at her expectantly (cotton swab? band aid?) after the injection, to which she replied..... "you're not bleeding, you're done."

(actually a pleasant experience, about five minutes start to finish..... registration, waiting, stabbing, boot out door)

Unfortunately I was traveling and by the time I dragged my sorry ass home it was too late for Tamiflu. Supposedly its effective if given at the onset of symptoms. I already had 103 temperature by the time I got home. The result is that I was in bed for 4 days. I honestly wondered whether I would ever be well again. I still have a lingering cough and its 8 days from onset. And I HAD A FLU SHOT. Obviously different stain and a nasty bug at that. I can now see how the flu is very dangerous for seniors.

Hope SI makes it. If not Rick, we will take you up on your kind offfer.
