Reach to find strategic partner to build IP backbone 2001-02-08 10:05 (Infocast News) According to Bloomberg newswire, the Internet IP backbone company formed by Telstra and Pacific Century CyberWorks (0008) ("PCCW") has been named Reach. Gerry Moriarty, the Chairman of Reach, said in Australia that as banks as not so willing to offer loans for the JV's construction of Internet IP backbone, the JV will introduce another strategic partner to diversify risks and bearing the huge business investment.
