If Cisco falters and starts losing more market share, it may be good for the rest of the networkers.

Remember what happened when Lucent blew up...they started losing so much business and so fast. The competitors got more than they were expecting, therefore, creating order backloggs.
If by chance that happens to Cisco (to some extent), it could be positive for Ciena, JNPR, NT etc.. who could make divide up the pie, especially if capital spending plans pick up a bit.

After all if Cisco loses market share, someone has to gain.

Starting to think Lucent was one of the reasons (could be only a small factor)there was so much business available to the Nortels of the world in the early part of 2000.
