We are conserving all we can here in the central coast. My neighborhood is alot darker now than it was a couple months ago!!! Seems like everyone has cut back on power consumption.

A relative of mine in the Atlanta region told me that they deregulated and their bills went up also.......but not like ours at a 87% increase ( which is what I read will be imposed on us soon! ).

In the end ( whenever that is!! ) I think we will probably be alot less wasteful of energy and will be mindful of keeping our growth more controlled. When you watch the huge developments spring up in this state one can't help but wonder where the infrastructure is to support them. Everyone has to share in the cost of building the infrastructure while we don't share the profit with the developers.

From what I gather, nuclear energy is the most efficient and cleanest to produce but has a nasty problem with disposal of radioactive waste.

I am certainly a Democrat, but I believe that the Sierra Club has gone too far with many of their exploits. They started out with good intentions but those intentions got lost along the way!! But, that's a post for another thread!
