RE:"Improvement on the sly? The more recent reports on AMD overclocking in our database seem to show that people are reaching higher speeds than available even two months ago. People are getting to 1.35-1.4Ghz with high-end air. "

Well, tonight I have play a little bit on the OC game. I have pushed up my 1.2 (Jan 2001 production) up to 1.410, but I had to bring down the FSB to 266 instead of 300 I was running it. I still maintain maximum performance setting on my KT7A-raid, i.e. cas 2, turbo speed for memory, all fast mode everywhere, specially chipset fast mode which is said to aggressively tighten timing margin.

I even have posted 1.450 but fail to complete booting. I guess I could go up to 1.5 if I run it more safe (slower) on the bios setting. But I will wait to have a decent heat sink. I use crome ORB. Has Anan said, it’s a fair cheap HSF.
But in fact, I'm not an oc guy, I'm more interested in donwclocking my 1.2 to 1.0 and only use those 16 decibel fan on my case, no fan on the heat sink. We’ll see.
