12:20 08-FEB-2001 PCCW/Telstra JV Reach sees adding new partners possible Chairman Gerry Moriarty of Reach, the IP backbone joint venture between Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW) (0008-HK) and Telstra, told Bloomberg that the venture is in no rush for a public listing as it has recorded a US$2 billion income sufficient for future developments. Mr Moriarty also said that Reach would not be listed along with its mobile unit because the market would find it difficult to absorb two major listings at the same time. On news that Reach may invite new shareholders, he declined to comment on the possibility of inviting AT&T but said their stance is open. To date, more than one companies have approached Reach to propose co-operative plans. But Mr Moriarty gave no further details. ww5.e-finet.com
