Satellite internet may well be faster, too, for some. I recently read an article about a class action suit brought by DSL subscribers whose DSL service was only 156 kBps.

What's exciting about the new services by Gilat and Hughes is that they are two-way, so no land line is needed for an uplink.

I have both cable and dsl and neither costs $40. I pay 49+ for the cable and $83 for the DSL. I would gladly bail on the DSL for dependable 2 way sat. I was wondering if anyone has any reports on how dependable the connection is.
