It also bottomed right before the first negative GDP report; the real economy didn't begin to rebound for another year, as I recall. Also, the Fed wasn't cutting in Oct. '90, so that's an argument for the bottom being in already this time. Greenie doesn't want to repeat his '90-'91 fiasco.

While our market views are sometimes in sync and frequently differ, I was reading the San Jose Mercury a couple of days ago - saw an ad and thought of you. The ad was from these people

and the "stuff" they were liquidating from defunct rot.bombs included Cisco routers, Sun servers, Dell and HP boxes, etc. Interesting implications.
