Not to bring ants to the picnic, but additional simmering inflationary concerns going forward:

Rising labor costs

-Unit labor costs rose in Q4 by 4.1%, the highest rate since Q2 1999

-Hourly compensation rose 3.8% in Q4 inflation-adjusted, up from 3.1% in Q3, and this despite a 1.1% reduction in hours worked.

Oil

Oil is now trading above the $31/barrel level as of yesterday

On the plus side, the dollar continues to gain strength against the yen, euro, and the pound, and all are now below their major moving averages (10 week) vs. the dollar.
