Milo, DUAL Rack Mounted AMD listing What are those things for? They have no PCI slots. The drives aren't available from the front, so most likely no hot plug. They're physically too big for 1 or 2 CPU servers; you can get 1U servers from CPQ, DELL, IBM that hold 1 or 2 CPUs and the other things I mentioned above. Any ECC on the memory and cache like Intel based servers have? They are too expensive as PCs. So, what good are they?

milo, <DUAL Rack Mounted AMD listing> I went to their site and it is very "thin", IMHO. Not much substance and a lot of cut and paste images and cosmetic web design. This must be a very new site, because there is no information on UtopiaPC when I went to the search engines. Furthermore, many links from the home page are still TBD, for example: utopiapc.com utopiapc.com utopiapc.com Talk is cheap. Creating fly by night web pages using Frontpage, even cheaper, IMHO. I think this is some screwdriver shop led by a web savvy fanatic AMDer, who figures he can chalange CPQ, HP, IBM etc. and win. Go for it! SK
