Usage has actually been UP.


Because the people had no reason to conserve - the politicians capped consumer cost in their heavy-handed regulation of power. That regulation and environmental regs against power plant construction have caused the shortage.

Never would have happened if CA had deregulated power like VA or PA.

The WSJ reported that NY and New England will have shortages in a couple of years because they're shutting the nuclear plants and planned plants won't fill the needs. Connecticut is the most nuclear dependent state.

I'm sure all the usual suspects will falsely blame that on deregulation too.

Usage has been up in the last ten years due to population increase and business growth but usage has been drastically reduced in the last couple of months. Everyone is pitching in and that is the fact.
