That goes counter to my prior
understanding of the SanDisk business plan and goes
counter to the suggestions Eli has made and what Cindy
Burgdorf personally told me in Spring of 1998.

Aus, why not send an email to Eli or IR expressing this?

Jay

Aus - Surely all that is happening is that we are waiting for the production of the new plants which should be able to produce 500Mb + CF at prices much cheaper than any available competition.

That, it seems to me, is the way the Company is going and it has always been driving the dege forward and my guess is that this year it will have an in house production asset that will enable it to control its market better than enythign it has had previously.

Of course all this depends on there not being a full blow recessionq and no-one knows that for sure but id we don't get that then SNDK seems to me all set. It is still considered a semi-conductor os it will always be linked to the SOX but apart from those two seems to me Eli is doing what he always said he would and that is to build a big and serious company.

Best regards,

L

The question we need answered from SNDK concerns the details of what royalties they are receiving. Who is paying royalties, and on what devices? Which patents are involved? I recently sent a fax to the CFO and also to investor relations, asking for a response by phone, fax, or email. However, I have not heard from anyone.

These questions do not have to wait until the next conference call. As shareholders, we have a right to know who is paying royalties, and how much. At least we have the right to see that data through the most recent quarter. Perhaps more people on this thread should send email inquiries to Calderoni and Spehar. If there is enough interest, then maybe SNDK will issue PR or at least communicate with some of those who asked the questions. Note, this should be done ONLY by those who actually own the stock, as stock ownership ENTITLES the owner to that information.
