"This is our game to lose," he said regarding the company's position in the CDMA market. As long as the company has a good roadmap, continues to introduce new products and follows competitive pricing, he said the company will remain ahead. Regarding the company's growth, he explained at a standing-room only session at the Banc of America Technology Week conference in San Francisco that it's dependent on how fast the CDMA market grows and the overall demand for wireless data. He also said that every major wireless manufacturer has approached Qualcomm for a 3G license. Effectively, he said Qualcomm (QCOM: news, chart) will be ready for the roll out of the new standard.
