RE: MCDT Class A and Class B

The MCDT stock EMC shareholders received is Class A stock, symbol MCDTA. The existing McData stock is Class B, symbol MCDT.

The only difference between the two Classes is that Class A stock carries 10x the voting rights of Class B.

That's right, Class A is more valuable than Class B. The only, and I mean ONLY reason that the A is cheaper right now is that a lot of holders of the EMC distribution are selling indiscriminately. Eventually, the Class A will trade at a premium (or parity at a minimum) to the Class B stock.

Joseph, Thanks for the reply! I see NTAP came in with good earnings and is trading up, helping EMC a bit. I bought 1500 EMC shares today at 63. Do I also get any MCDTA? Thanks for the responses. Hopefully the NTAP earnings will help both stocks on Monday! Steve D.

BTW Joseph, Ntap is trading up about 3-4 dollars. Hopefully the conferance call goes well and Monday may be a nice recovery day for both Ntap and Emc? What do you think? Emc is trading at 61 af. Steve D.
