No one denies that Cisco is the dominant player in its space. Even with Juniper Networks (JNPR) claiming about a 30 percent stake in the router market, Cisco still owns about a 65 percent to 70 percent slice of the worldwide router business. The only other major competitor in the router space is Avici Systems (AVCI).
