Although I doubt the ServerSet III HEsl chipset that Anand reviewed is very popular at the moment, the article does give us a glimpse into the design of ServerWorks' other chipsets. Remember that ServerWorks' chipsets currently go into the majority of Pentium III (Xeon) servers sold these days.

Tenchusatsu, this realworldtech article is dynamite. It proves that athy, unlike P4, is not a memory hog. It doesn't care much about either latency or bandwidth. From the summary at realworldtech.com but please read the whole thing:

Well, as you can see there really isn’t that much difference between a well setup 200MHz FSB Athlon
system using PC100 CAS 2 and one using PC133, or even a 266MHz FSB. To be honest I was
surprised by the results. I would have expected to see a trend with the video test in particular that

It lends support to my assertion that a single channel of DDR PC2100 is way more than enough for a dual 1.2 GHz
Athlon server, probably good at least up to dual 1.5's. In fact a PC133 dual Athlon system would work just fine at 1 GHz and be super cheap.

Most of the articles benchmarking DDR, 266 MHz FSB, etc. in the AMD world have been using Durons, so the above conclusions may be surprising.
