Sam/threaders... the comparison with CSCO is a stretch... but the investor fear is the same..We saw the same panic response on Dell, SUNW, ORCL and INTC. But there may be a way to profit from this group panic. If the tech stocks hold true to form they will rally tomorrow until about noon eastern time and the usual Friday PM sell off will begin. If AMAT were to drop near 40 by the close a limit order somewhere between 39 1/2 and 40 1/2 should get filled. But now that we are planning on it, it may not happen. The way the stock has been acting recently is as if there was some terrible bad news, yet unspoken, that would crush the stock beyond our furthest nightmare upon the release of earnings. Not likely.
