what gold really needs is the leasing/forward selling/carry trade scam to end, which will no doubt happen one day. it ALMOST happened in '99. took the bullion banks a huge expansion in their gold derivatives exposure to knock it back down. Heinz, do you know of any books, or extensive articles, or website that goes into the 1999 episode in detail. I know what you're talking about, but am curious at what type of coverage/post mortum's have been written about the banks leasing out their physical gold. many thanks, John
