storage: it doesn't do wealth after all

Network Appliance says economy affecting, not EMC
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Sales by computer storage
maker Network Appliance have been slowed by the economy, but
not by pressure with competitors, including industry behemoth
EMC Corp. <EMC.N>., the chief executive said after releasing
fiscal third quarter results on Thursday.
Dan Warmenhoven told Reuters in an interview the company
expected sales in the next two quarters to rise sequentially at
the "bottom half" of the 10-15 percent range the company
projected last quarter.
He saw sales in the last quarter bringing revenue to $1.1
billion for fiscal 2001 and growth next year of 55-60 percent
to about $1.75 billion.
Gross margin would continue to deteriorate and earnings per
share would be 41 cents for fiscal 2001 and rise next year to
55-60 cents, he added.

got slow growth, pricing weakness, rising costs, margin squeeze and........... TA DA.... great market share?

he must have practiced with a mouth full of marbles to put all of that together.
