Gene, you might be kidding, but Airbus is a pain in my ass.
Airbus gets European R&D taxpayer assistance and Boeing has to fund itself.
>TOKYO - Airbus Industrie says it has enlisted Japan's biggest trading company, Mitsui, to help break rival Boeing's lock on sales to the country's biggest carrier, Japan Airlines (JAL).

Mitsui will support Airbus' efforts to land a sale with Japan Airlines, the only major airline in the region never to have ordered a jet from the world's No. 2 aircraft maker. The trading company already leases out Boeing jets and includes JAL among its customers.
