Hi Mag,

Don't mean to suggest this is the best possible stock for you to "mag",but I've been fortunate to "get it right " of late.

I've seen the accuracy of your trades and quite frankly would love to see you enjoy this stock with your trading techniques, as I have.

It is volatile and trades within an envelope channel. It is also very predictable based on short term volume swings -I'm not totally on track with your "magnets" but have a huntch it might work for the both of us (hopefully).

Bob

P.S. glad to hang with you here.

Have it bookmarked.

Chris

Good idea!

Thanks for the company :-)

Hot links did not carry over in the cut and paste: magnatizer.terrashare.com has em working.

2.08.01

SP 500:

SP 500 mags (Left side is magnet horizontals, right is magnet trendlines)

SP recent mag trendlines (Magnet trendlines from 1990 on)

SP 500 close up (SPX recent mag tlines in a close up perspective)

From 2.05.01 commentary: The SP 500 found the new mag tline as good support today. This came as a bit of a suprise today as the bounce off of it was somewhat strong. A bar point to fix on is the middle of Friday's large down (1362.55). If it holds resistance through Wednesday the sell off likely starts on Thursday. If not I need to reevaluate my flat position and take action on the long side.

No updates.

Nas 100: Nas 100 mags Nas Comp Weekly Gartley

From 2.04.01 commentary: What I will be watching is how the magnet support levels fare over the coming week or two. It's a day to day market for me at this point. Current lean is for a retest of the upper 2100-lower 2300 area.

Going in for the retest. Nas looks very heavy after today. Of note: short term indicators in prime position for a quality buy signal. CCI 6 (standard) broke it's downtrend and RSI 3 is set to do the same. I won't short here and may just end up long on the support tests tomorrow.

Dow 30: Dow 30 mags

From 2.04.01 commentary: Likely to pullback from this area. Very much standard stuff here after reaching a target. Most likely pullback is to the newest mag tline in the 10670 area. Could be played on the short side if nimble. Best long term technicals of the big three indexes (SP, Nas and Dow being big three). Therefore, I like Dow best for longs if/when pullback finds solid support.

From 2.05.01 commentary: Dow says... I got yer pullback buddy. If it can take out Friday's high of 11023 it has potential to go off to the races.

Looking for the pullback to 10670 yet again.

Russell 2k: Russell 2k mags

Still not sure what to make of this one. No opinion.

BKX: BKX mags

From 2.04.01 commentary: I did not buy Friday's close. I really like the BKX for a long though. I did not buy Friday due to reason's other then the actual index action. A long entry early this week is quite likely with initial stop of close below last week's low (945.4).

Tried long side today but was stopped out with the close below yesterday's low. I still like the set up of this index for a long side play. I will not hesitate to get back on board.

CRB: CRB mags

From 2.05.01 commentary: I am taking the CRB bulls total failure today as a strong sell signal. 222 target back in place. If the selling does not continue tomorrow there is a set up on short term indicators which points toward today as a very high quality head fake.

Working on the 222 target again.

BTK: BTK mags

From 2.05.01 commentary: Very good looking chart with the mag downtrends holding support after a good test today.

From 2.07.01 commentary: Long side still looks best here. Stop of a close below Monday's low is my lean.

Make that a close below Tuesday's low as the BTK formed a 3 day fin with today's action. If you are not familiar with fins check the S&P 500 Weekly fin chart for examples.

SOX: SOX mags

From 2.04.01 commentary: Much like the SP the SOX top last week did not quite reach the magnet target. Looking for a move down to the low 600-630ish area. Will be a day to day read and I do not like long or short SOX at this point in time.

From 2.06.01 commentary: When this bottoms it has potential to spring back in a very fast manner.

No updates.

IIX: IIX mags

From 2.6.01 commentary: Stepped into inet long positions today. I am not impressed with the closing action today. Must start moving up smartly tomorrow or I will exit by close. Current stop is still a close below Monday low.

Exited long today near close. I still like the set up of the index and will not hesitate to get long again tomorrow if I get a good intraday signal.
