I like your bluegrass, CCR, Wes Montgomery, Charlie Christian picks. I'd love to hear the Taj and Ry. The Band and Joni are tolerable. I'll reserve comment on the rest.

I just combined 3 gift certificates into one shopping spree on Amazon. Got 8 CDs with it. Here's what I picked.

John Lee Hooker- Boom Boom (Pointblank)

Manuel Ponce- classical guitar

2 tango CDs- what are laughing about, you picked Frampton!
These may not be what you think. Most tango we hear is the prettified stuff intended for PBS audiences. This is the real thing from the streets, the raw bordello sound. Someone once wrote that Astor Piazorella did for tango what the Boston Pops did for Duke Ellington.

4 swing CDs- Steve Lucky and the Rhumba Bums, Bill Elliot Swing Orchestra, Eddie Reed Big Band, and the Chazz Cats.
I'll be jumpin and jivin!
