Windsock Re..How much natural gas is being sent from the current Alaska oil fields??

The alaskan oilfields are 35 yrs old. The technology and economics didn't exist at that time. Now it may be. Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it can't be done. Secondly, if it can't be liquified, then they probably hook into Canadas pipelines; and pipe the gas into the mid-west. Thirdly, at $60/barrel for equivilent btu's, it could easily be profitable to pipe the gas from even the smaller fields in Texas; if CA ever stops trying to sponge off of everyone else and starts paying for what they get.

Have you heard of flaring natural gas -- just sending it up a stack and burning it at the well site -- when it is not worth using ?? Compliments of Shrub

Isn't that what I just posted. When the natural gas is worth using, it can be collected and used.

And all the crap, including sulpher, that you blow in the air is subject to voluntary regulation by the awl bidness

What is "the awl bidness"?
