ur persepective depends on how long u drive 'em, I suppose.

I'd rather be driving one of those with 100 or 200k on them than an American job -- don't know about German cars -- since I'm not in that income class

Ice, when you work on different cars you can see that the Japanese cars are not as solid as US or Germans. All the metal is inferior and more prone to rust. Mike

Ice, If you can find me a car brand that spends less time in the shop that a Toyota, Honda or Nissan, let me know. That would be counter to all the industry and consumer stats. <g> I only have one rule for a car: it has to go when I want it to go. The big 3 Japanese cars do this.

I think SUVs are definitely in replacement mode. I just can't believe that so many folks suckered into gas guzzlers again after the experience of the 70s.
