NEW YORK (CBS.MW) - U.S. stocks are preparing for an open in the minus column Friday with modest weakness developing in the broad market as investors digest a thin slate of earnings news.

March S&P 500 futures added 0.80 point but were trading roughly 3.10 points below fair value, according to HL Camp & Co., while Nasdaq futures fell 14.00 points, or 0.6 percent.

In the Treasury arena, the market successfully digested the week's share of refunding offerings in the 5-, 10- and 30-year sectors.

The 10-year Treasury note was flat to yield ($TNX) 5.09 percent while the 30-year government bond gave up 1/32 to yield ($TYX) 5.525 percent.

What you can and can't mail:

They forgot to mention that the post office won't mail guns, gun parts, ammunition, or flammable parts of ammunition. The theory is that the only guns the Postal Service carries are their personal AK-47's. And don't forget that the Postal worker's uniform is the most feared uniform the United States Government has!

BTW: UPS will ship any of these items (except the postal workers ak-47). They just want to know what it is and may charge extra for hazard insurance.
