Earlie, I agree with you -- I learned something from by Globalstar experience <g>. QCOM's future earnings growth depends heavily on 3G being successful and pervasive relatively soon. I don't see that.

SPRINT,VERIZON will upgrade to 1xrt because it allows data speeds of 64k and increases their capacity by 3X. NEXTL will eventially go CDMA 1xrt as well. JApan will roll out first 3G system this year. Going long might be premature, and delayed 3g projects an issue, but there are better SHORTs out there.
