rich, I don't know if this will help you, but out my way Ameritech is asking for space to install remote DSL mux equipment, that will greatly extend the range of DSL.

Rick,
one year ago I bought from Best Buy for $150.00 the small dish, the modem and disc. I still have my old ISP for $20.00 per month and this Direct PC costs me around $40.00. my down load speeds run around 480K instead of 36 to 49K on a 56Kmodem.Like I downloaded Netscape 6 awhile back in just a few minutes instead of a couple of hours.I gave a Direct TV installer $150 to dig the hole, plant the pole, run the wire and hook up to the modem.
