Well he could have been taking money from the Chinese.

Overall I don't think it Bush's actions in regard to oil companies are any more currupt then most of the fund raising done by politicians of all parties. At least in this case its not like Bush had an opposing policy that he changed when he say the oil companies money. It seems more of a case with the oil companies finding someone they agree with and then supporting his campaign fund, rather then Bush giving the oil companies a quid pro quo for the campaign contribution.
