Hi TP Am not surprised by Dell personnel reduction
Sequential quarterly headcouint at Dell
23,300
24,400
26,100
29,300
33,200
36,500
35,800 (A reduction of 700 after Christmas 2000) *
37,000
39,000
* It is likely that many more than 700 were "let go" temporarily, and then some brought back before the quarter ended, so it would not be unusual or out of line to see a temp reduction of 2000 to 4000 this quarter.
Nashville had a surplus of workers but Dell kept them on- times are tougher today.
Sig

Long and strong-sold the Feb 27.50 for a 1.00 and will let them atrophy and expire by next Friday.Dell will recover from this correction and continue its recovery IMO.Just enjoying the editorials trashing Bill Clinton-where are all you Demo/Liberals who were so thick on this thread two years ago?Bush will be one of our very finest Presidents except I'm pro choice and don't agree on that one item.Market is oversold and will do better next week I feel.
