Rushnomore, thanks for responding. I wonder if you would expand on the "phony science" pronouncement, what part sounds phony? This is reaction to a peer-reviewed (Nature)article, so I don't think it is FUD. Granted the reporter knows ziltch about what he's reporting, but that ain't unusual. I am not an expert, but "smart antenna" research seems to be taking place all over, and is germane to G&K from a QCOM/CAP standpoint, no? The terms "multipath" and "line of sight" keep popping up during wireless discussions. What effect would smart antennas have on power consumtion or radiation levels? I respect your degree as well as your point of view, If you see a flaw in this line of thinking, enlighten me (please!!). I agree that most innovation/discoveries never get of the drawing board, it is the few that do that interest me.
Disclosure: long Q due to the G&K thread, trying to add something to the thread...and I only understand half of what I read on the "last mile" thread.....
