I think it is more speculation than a bona fide rumour. But that being said, there will be more consolidation in this sector. I believe Entrust will eventually be swallowed by a larger player.

Checkpoint Software looks like a possibility. They are trading at a 3 to 4 times premium to ENTU. But they better do it fast, before their market cap gets clipped too <g>.

I would think any acquiror would have difficulty selling more than a 50% acquisition premium to their own shareholders. So the question is, how low is Nortel willing to go in parting with their shares?
