hi bob

"I often reboot my system and don't consider it a waste of time to do so before shutting down my system in order to not be plagued with blue screen of death messages."

i saw that point being made yesterday. most interesting. and it would seem a valid way to put the machine down for the night.

but can't that process lead to a bsod catch-22 of sorts, where the errors you are attempting to avoid happen during the steps you take to avoid them?

if the errors do not occur on restart, then i can see where your method is quite orderly.

:)
