Dave, Compaq came along and took business away from IBM by having a closer relationship with PC customers I was working for Compaq at the time and their opportunity came up because IBM miscalculated demand, and was unable to supply it. Compaq got their foot in the door, and started building a better product. This are a lot of parallels with AMD. AMD now has a much better price/performance product than Intel, and it won't be long before they push into the business sector. Scumbria
