Hey E:

Looking at that 5 year chart, it looks like the Naz down trend is still well in place. (Looking at a six month chart, it looked like we finally broke the trend a couple weeks ago; now at 2500 it seems doubtful). I hate to think about breaking the low of 2300, but I remember thinking the same thing last year about 3000.

I'm guessing a retest of the lows is underway, yet I just can't think it will break given the Fed's easing climate. Can you?

Semi's are holding up well today, though I don't know why. I only have 3 stocks now, all semi's.

JNPR's break of 95 puts it a good short candidate, and selling should now accelerate.

What do you think of EMC's chart? Looks like it will test the support of 55. A break there would send it who know's where. ISSI still holding above its 50 day, the best of any I know of, but it won't stand alone if the Naz really caves.

CIEN support at 82 looks like it will break and that should send it to 68.

GLW's erosion continues to amaze me---now at 40.

best to you,
cb

Hi E.!

I saw Apocalypse Now this past week...and the Nasdaq reminds me of a scene where Kurtz (Marlon Brandon's character) said, " the horror..the horror..."

take care,
steve
