It's a Federal Law too. Most states, and the Federal Gov., have WARN Acts, requiring 60 days notice prior to plant closings or mass layoffs. Exceptions are granted only under limited circumstances. Penalties is liability for the 60 days worth of pay and benefits, unless the company is already giving some kind of equal severance package. Anyhoo, thought I should put in my two cents worth on Bob's situation. It's a shame. Bob once suspended me a little too quickly, but to his credit he declined to take me up on my offer to terminate my membership. He did a tough job, and made it look easy. He cannot be replaced. Quahog
