Hi Jerome and everyone,

I was reading with interest the covered call dialog...I just started writing calls on TXN in september of last year...my base price went from the mid' 50's to the mid 30's...when the stock was in free fall, i was writing and covering twice a month on average...it is really amazing how you can keep lowering your base cost by writing calls every month, i only came close to being called out once (turns out i should have let it happen)...I am thinking of starting to write on the SMH or QQQ stock to avoid being overly exposed to one stock...

i actually bought the majority of my txn on margin (bad idea i know) but was able to effectively wean myself down to a relatively safe level of margin...properly managed (reading charts and market sentiment) can easily get you a better return than LTB&H...those little captured gains do add up...
