Another 500 billion will be taken out of our pockets in 1q-01. If another 500 bil. evaporates in 4q=01 the rise in energy prices alone will have eaten up the whole tax cut; leaving nothing left to stimulate the economy. That is why I said that it is possible cutting rates along with a medium tax cut won't do the job. The energy price increases are staggering.
