Eugene, JDSU next FY starts in 4 months and with eps 1.18
JDSU is trading at pe 33. At price 32$ pe would be 20.
Current FY is almost gone and market is always looking into future not back

it can now sell at a pe of 40, about 1/2 the growth rate, or a price of 32.

Eugene now I understand why you used current FY instead next FY to calulate JDSY pe.
Someone who shorts a lot always thinks that fast growing company shoudl trade like K-Mart.

tough to know when to cover the amat short. I shorted nvls at 43 too.

The bigger balloons are beas, muse, cien, and qcom. Other stuff like vrsn, jdsu, sebl, brcd, and emlx are getting smashed too, but
there peg's are down to about 1, which imho, means they are at atractive prices. I'd continue to short every tech with a pe of 100
and a peg of 2.0 that I can find.

Now the good news is that if you have any equity left, God bless you and you have two huge things on your side. The peg's will double, and you will have tremendous earnings growth. The math says we get a lot of 10 baggers in 4 years off of wherever the bottom is, on a company with 50% compounding growth, and a peg of .5.

So, where is the bottom?

I agree and as for the bottom, I don't know where it'll be, but I'll do as before, wait till I'm sure and then start buying.

This past week's Nasdaq was brought to us by Cisco. Future Nasdaq's will be brought to us by Nortel, Alcatel, JDSUniphase, Ciena, Juniper and a few others.
