Great post. The reason acquired so much, of course, because it was virtually painless to them with such overvalued currency.

This deal inflation transcended to way too many $$$ being put into the pockets of shareholders, i-bankers, car salesman, you name it.

IMHO, we have a bit more to go.

I agree regarding the R&D policy. Speaking of which, be sure to check out this article, which says they are going to trash Monterey and use an inhouse switch. Perhaps a rare chance for their own R&D to take front stage. (reposted link)
